A former employee of the Municipality of Gilbert Plains, charged with fraud and theft, has appeared in court again.
40-year-old Amber Fisher was in Dauphin Provincial Court yesterday (Tue), where she had her matters adjourned to next Monday.
Fisher, who was the former Chief Administrative Officer of the Municipality, had been under investigation since 2022, after a fraud complaint was made to the Manitoba RCMP and Financial Crime Unit.
The complaint alleged that Fisher had defrauded the Municipality of upwards of 500-thousand dollars while employed there.
