This Monday was a BIG day in our household as our Barkley, celebrated his graduation! Now, before you start thinking about caps and gowns, let me clarify—my youngest is my adorable puppy, and he just completed his obedience class with flying colors!
We owe a huge thank you to Kelsey from The Thriving K-9, who turned every class into a fun and educational adventure. Her incredible skills with the dogs helped them learn and grow so much over the past few weeks. It was truly amazing to witness the transformation in each classmate, but especially in my little Barkley. On graduation day, Kelsey tested all the pups on what they’d learned, and I’m thrilled to announce that Barkley was named the top dog of the class!
He’s still just a pup, but the progress he’s made is astounding. From mastering basic commands to learning a couple of tricks, Barkley’s journey in obedience has been nothing short of impressive. We’re still perfecting “shake a paw” and a few other tricks, but with his determination (and a few extra treats), I’m confident he’ll nail those soon!
