Hey friends! I just had to share a fun little learning journey I’ve started recently. Believe it or not, at the age of 25, I finally learned how to play checkers!
Growing up, checkers wasn’t a game my family played, so it slipped through the cracks. But you know those moments when you hear things like “This is chess, not checkers” on TV shows like Big Brother? It got me thinking…maybe it was time to finally tackle checkers!
Here’s where it gets nostalgic: I rediscovered my childhood love, Webkinz, and guess what? One of the games you can play is checkers! I decided to jump in and give it a shot. Playing against the computer, I’m actually doing pretty well! But, when it comes to real-life opponents, it’s still a work in progress, lol.
Learning checkers has been such a blast, and it’s reminded me that age is just a number when it comes to picking up new skills. Sometimes, the most unexpected places can spark a new interest or rediscover forgotten passions.
