Sentencing arguments have wrapped up for a former education assistant at Vibank Regional School, who was found guilty of sexual exploitation.
On March 12, a jury found 40-year-old Stacey Duke, of the R.M. of Francis, guilty on the six charges against her, including two counts each of child luring, sexual exploitation of a young person, and making sexually explicit material available to a child.
Sentencing is set for June 10 in Regina Court of King’s Bench.
In October of 2022, Indian Head RCMP received a report of inappropriate online communication between an adult female and a male student within the division, and during the investigation, a second alleged male victim within the division was identified by police.
