Residents of the Kamsack area will benefit from enhanced access to emergency health care at their hospital.
It’s being done through an innovative approach to laboratory services, known as Point of Care Testing.
The province is spending 33 thousand dollars to purchase the testing device.
It enables trained health care staff to conduct a range of specific diagnostics, like hemoglobin, white blood cell count, blood sugar, and cardiac tests, and will deliver results to providers in under 30 minutes.
