The City of Yorkton is pleased to announce the renewal of the Gallagher Centre naming rights, extending the valued partnership with the Gallagher Family for another 10 years.
Originally named in 2005 after George Gallagher, the facility will retain its name through 2035, reflecting the Gallagher Family’s continued commitment to supporting local and regional recreation.
“This generous renewal speaks volumes about the Gallagher Family’s lasting impact on our community,” said Mayor Aaron Kienle. “George and Doreen’s legacy lives on through this facility, and we’re proud to keep their name as part of Yorkton’s story.”
“Our parents always had a deep love for Yorkton—it’s where they raised us,” said Kelly Gallagher, the son of the late George & Doreen Gallagher. “Even though they are no longer with us, their memory lives on through the Gallagher Centre and the community it serves.”
Since its renaming, the Gallagher Centre has played a vital role in Yorkton’s recreational life, offering diverse programs and amenities for all ages.
The City looks forward to many more years of this meaningful partnership.
