An arrest has been made, in connection with a pair of stabbing incidents in Dauphin.
Around 3 o’clock Thursday morning, Dauphin RCMP were called out to a reported stabbing outside a business on Second Avenue Southwest, where they found a 25-year-old woman, who was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening knife wounds.
While there, they were made aware of a another incident at a home on Second Avenue Northeast, and once there, they found a 53-year-old woman with knife wound, who said she had also been sexually assaulted, and she was taken to hospital in critical condition.
After getting a description of the suspect, a brief search ensued, resulting in the arrest of 31-year-old Marcus Mclean of Brandon, who remains in custody on several charges, including Attempted Murder and Sexual Assault with a Weapon.
Mounties believed he acted alone, noting that he did not know the victims.
