More details have been released regarding a serious two-vehicle collision Wednesday, that caused the closure of Highway 15 for several hours.
Shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday, Punnichy RCMP received a report of the crash, involving a truck and a marked RCMP vehicle, near the rodeo grounds on the Muskowekwan First Nation.
The police officer, who was the lone occupant of the police vehicle, was airlifted to hospital by STARS Air Ambulance, with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver and lone occupant of the truck was taken to hospital by EMS, with non-life-threatening injuries.
Punnichy RCMP continue to investigate the incident, with the help of a collision reconstructionist.
