CN and CPKC Rail supplied a combined 89% of hopper cars ordered in grain week 43, reflecting a modest decline from the 93% order fulfillment performance seen in week 42.
That's according to the Ag Transport Coalition.
In supplying 82% of cars ordered by shippers in week 43, CN performance significantly deteriorated from the 95% order fulfillment performance seen the prior week.
This marks the sixth consecutive week that CN order fulfillment performance has reached or surpassed the 80% performance threshold.
CN performance is now below the 90% performance threshold, after exceeding it for the first time since week 51 of the prior grain year.
CPKC saw performance improve slightly, with the railway supplying 95% of shipper orders in week 43, an improvement from the 90% order fulfillment performance seen in week 42.
This represents CPKC's best performance since week 16 in late November and marks the third consecutive week the railway has posted order fulfillment performance of 90% or better.
