Conexus, Cornerstone, and Synergy Credit Unions are donating $150,000 to the Canadian Red Cross 2025 Saskatchewan Wildfires Appeal to support relief and recovery efforts.
The funds will provide financial aid, evacuation support, and disaster recovery for affected communities, while also helping with future preparedness. The credit unions encourage members impacted by the wildfires to reach out for financial assistance.
“Our hearts are with the individuals, families and communities across Saskatchewan who are facing the devastation and uncertainty caused by these wildfires,” said Conexus Credit Union CEO Celina Philpot. At Conexus, we believe in standing by our members—not just in times of prosperity, but especially in moments of crisis and that’s why we’re proud to partner with Cornerstone and Synergy to make this joint donation to the Canadian Red Cross on behalf of our members.
Individuals who donate before June 29 will have their contributions matched by the federal government, doubling the impact. The credit unions also thank first responders and volunteers for their dedication.
Conexus’ La Ronge branch remains closed due to evacuation orders to ensure the safety of employees and members.
