A new court date has been set for a former employee of the Municipality of Gilbert Plains, charged with Fraud and Theft.
40-year-old Amber Fisher, who was the former Chief Administrative Officer of the Municipality, had been under investigation since 2022, after a fraud complaint was made to the Manitoba RCMP Cyber and Financial Crime Unit.
The complaint alleged that Fisher had defrauded the Municipality of upwards of 500-thousand dollars while employed there.
Fisher had her matters heard in Dauphin Provincial Court yesterday (Tue), where they were adjourned to June 24.
