That little shot of rain we got last weekend really worked wonders for the lawn! There’s just something special about a good, steady rain over a couple of days—no amount of regular watering or fertilizer compares to what Mother Nature can do. The grass seems to perk right up and looks greener than ever.
We make sure to water regularly and keep up with the fertilizing schedule, but I always say: rain is the real secret weapon for a healthy, vibrant lawn. And honestly, I have to give a huge shoutout to my oldest son again this year. He’s been absolutely crushing it with the mowing and maintenance! Every couple of days, without fail, he’s out there making sure everything is neat and tidy. I think I may have created a bit of a lawn care beast—he’s definitely inherited my love (and maybe obsession!) for keeping the yard in top shape. It’s awesome to see him taking so much pride in it and following in his dad’s footsteps.
Here’s hoping we get more timely rains and plenty of sunshine as summer rolls on. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the lawn looking its best and watching my son take charge of it. Cheers to green grass, family traditions, and a summer full of fresh-cut lawns!
