Saskatchewan’s critically ill and injured children now have quicker access to specialized care through a new virtual program supported by Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. Using remote presence technology, the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Provincial Pediatric Transport Team at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital are offering real-time support to local health centres during emergencies.
The program allows pediatric specialists to guide care providers across the province during critical situations, improving outcomes and bringing expert care closer to home. As more Teladoc devices are deployed, the initiative is helping build a stronger, more connected pediatric health system in Saskatchewan.
