Guilty pleas have been entered by a man charged in connection with a stolen vehicle investigation around the Moosomin and Rocanville areas last summer.
On August 21 of last year, Broadview RCMP were alerted that a stolen truck from Manitoba was headed towards the area, and it was later spotted on Highway 8.
The driver fled, resulting in the theft of a truck from Rocanville, that was located later that day in Moosomin, after police were unsuccessful in pulling it over.
Mounties arrested 35-year-old David Penner of Winnipeg the next day in Manitoba, and on Thursday in Winnipeg, he admitted to dangerous driving and flight from police, while the other charges against him were stayed by the Crown Prosecutor.
Penner was sentenced to the time he already spent in custody, and he was given a two-year driving ban.
