A 33-year-old man is in custody after allegedly making threats with a firearm.
Just before 5:00 p.m. yesterday, Dauphin RCMP received a report that a woman had been threatened and chased with a firearm into a residential building on Forrest Avenue.
The woman was able to escape safely. After several hours, officers negotiated the surrender of the suspect, along with a 37-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman. The two additional individuals were not charged.
Jimmy Pruden of Dauphin, who had an outstanding warrant, is now facing multiple charges, including possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, pointing a firearm, and assault.
The investigation is ongoing.
