An 18-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder following a death on Red Earth Cree Nation Tuesday evening.
Carrot River RCMP responded to a report of an injured individual at a residence in the community. Upon arrival, officers found 29-year-old Gerald McKay, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cecil Whitehead is scheduled to appear in Carrot River court today.
Saskatchewan Major Crimes Unit continues to investigate.
