Hey fellow Marvel fans! So, I’m still on my mission to catch up on all the Marvel shows and movies (no shame in being a little behind, right?). I just finished Loki Season 2, and it really wrapped up Loki’s whole character arc quite nicely. I really enjoyed the depth this season brought, but if I’m being honest, I think Season 1 had a bit more of that wild, fun energy I loved.
Anyway, sticking to release order, next up was The Marvels. I’d seen all the negative buzz and low expectations floating around when it first came out, so I went in with my hopes set pretty low. But you know what? I ended up LOVING it! Seriously! The Marvels was such a fun, energetic team-up. It might actually be my favorite post-Endgame Marvel movie, right up there with Spider-Man: No Way Home. The dynamic between Kamala, Monica, and Carol was so entertaining, and their chemistry made the movie fly by.
I know people have said this one was “for the girls”, and honestly, I totally agree, but I also think that’s a great thing! It was empowering, lighthearted while tackling some difficult issues, and just a blast to watch. There’s nothing wrong with a superhero movie that’s simply FUN.
So if you’ve been skipping The Marvels because of the reviews, I say give it a chance. You might be as pleasantly surprised as I was! Have you seen it yet? Let me know what you thought in the comments. I’d love to hear your take!
