A 20-year-old man from Yorkton is facing multiple charges following a dangerous driving incident near Dauphin early Sunday morning.
At around 6 a.m., Dauphin RCMP received a report of a vehicle being driven erratically on Highway 10.
Officers located the vehicle, which was speeding, and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The driver refused to stop and continued driving dangerously, nearly colliding with an oncoming vehicle.
Police deployed a tire deflation device to bring the vehicle to a stop. Once stopped, the driver refused to exit and had to be forcibly removed by officers.
Breath tests showed he was over the legal alcohol limit.
Ryden Yackulic has been charged with flight from police, impaired driving, resisting arrest, and several traffic offenses. He remains in custody.
