When I see orange lilies, my mind immediately drifts to the wide-open landscapes of Saskatchewan. There’s something almost magical about spotting those vibrant blooms growing wild in the ditches as you drive through the province—they’re like little bursts of sunshine dotting the roadside. If you’re lucky enough to spot them, remember that these wild lilies are protected, so it’s best to admire their beauty and leave them untouched for others to enjoy.
These particular lilies, however, were found in a much more personal setting—my uncle’s yard in Abernethy. I just couldn’t resist snapping a picture. There’s something about orange lilies that always brings me back to my Saskatchewan roots, no matter where I am.
