Saskatchewan’s Rural and Remote Health Minister Lori Carr is in Yorkton today, touring the Yorkton Regional Health Centre and the Yorkton & District Nursing Home.
Over the past three years, more than $4 million has been invested into local health infrastructure, including upgrades to the ICU, roofing, chillers, sewer systems, and patient Wi-Fi.
Additional improvements were made at the nursing home and Yorkton Public Health, with another $680,000 allocated for this year.
A further $1 million has been earmarked for planning a new regional health centre in the 2025-26 budget.
