A guilty plea from a man charged with cattle rustling near Whitewood.
In Yorkton Provincial Court Thursday, 44-year-old Ryan Bennett of the Whitewood area admitted to one count of theft of cattle over $5,000, receiving 12 months probation.
The remaining charges against him were stayed by the Crown Prosecutor.
In June of last year, the Saskatchewan RCMP Livestock Investigator received a report from Livestock Services of Saskatchewan, about a potentially suspicious livestock transaction.
An investigation determined that over the course of three separate incidents, fourteen calves had been stolen from a farm in the R.M. of Silverwood.
