Back to work after an amazing 2-week holiday, and I’m feeling refreshed and grateful for all the memories made! It was the perfect mix of adventure, family time, and a bit of much-needed relaxation.
Our holiday kicked off with a road trip to Red Deer to visit family. My oldest was in heaven—he and his cousin managed to squeeze in 4 rounds of golf at 4 different courses, some of the best in the province! He’s still talking about those fairways and can’t wait to go back. Meanwhile, my youngest and I got our adrenaline fix at the go-kart track and spent time exploring all the sights around town.
One of the highlights was heading out with my brother-in-law to help set up their camp near the mountains. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. I was honestly amazed by the number of wild horses roaming the foothills—it felt like something out of a movie.
After Red Deer, we made our way to Edmonton for a little urban adventure. We stayed at the iconic Fantasyland Hotel and had a blast at West Edmonton Mall. The kids loved the mini golf and a splash-filled day at the Waterpark. There was so much to see and do, and everyone found something to enjoy.
The last stretch of our holiday was spent closer to home. We slowed things down with some fishing, a few more rounds of golf, and lots of quality time just relaxing together. Sometimes the best moments are the simplest ones.
