A traffic stop last week in The Pas, has resulted in the arrest of three people.
Around 1 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, RCMP officers pulled over a vehicle, and upon speaking with the three occupants of the vehicle, officers spotted open liquor, and a further search of the vehicle led to the seizure of a substance believed to be cocaine, bear spray and an extendable baton.
Mounties subsequently searched a rural property north of The Pas, off Highway 10, where police found several firearms, airsoft guns, a crossbow, body armour, illicit pills and other drug-related paraphernalia.
Three people remain in custody with charges pending – a 30-year-old man and 27-year-old woman, both from The Pas, and a 36-year-old Opaskwayak Cree Nation woman.
