Wayne Antichow, a dedicated community leader in Swan River has been awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal in recognition of his longstanding service.
Antichow was formally surprised with the honor during the opening ceremony of the Northwest Roundup and Exhibition, hosted by the Swan River Valley Agricultural Society over the weekend, an event that he has been a long-time director and volunteer for.
Created to mark the May 6, 2023 coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, the medal recognizes Canadians who have made significant contributions to their communities, province, or country. Only 30,000 medals were awarded across Canada, highlighting achievements in public service, volunteerism, and civic leadership.
Antichow’s recognition reflects his lasting impact on the Swan River region and the deep respect he holds among local residents and officials.
