When I was a kid, my mom would sometimes bring me along to her university classes or take me with her to work. I was the quiet type, so I’d happily sit and colour while she did her thing. Sometimes it was fun, and honestly, sometimes it was a little boring. But you know what made those days extra special? The little treats I got from her friends and co-workers. Someone would give me a candy from their candy dish, or make a cup of hot chocolate just for me. Those small surprises made tagging along with mom so much more fun.
Now that I’m all grown up, I think about those moments a lot, especially when co-workers bring their kids to the station. I wanted to do something nice for our little visitors, just like those adults did for me. With so many kids having food allergies these days, I decided to skip the snacks and try something everyone could enjoy: stickers!
So now, whenever kids come by, I let them pick out a sticker from my stash. It’s a simple thing, but their faces always light up when they get to choose their own. It gives them something fun to look at while they’re here, and hopefully, it makes their day a little more memorable.
It’s a small gesture, but I love being able to add a bit of fun to a kid’s day, just like people did for me when I was little. Sometimes, it’s those tiny acts of kindness that stick with you the longest!
@gx94radio It’s always nice to have something for the kids! Do you have something for the kiddos when they visit at your work? -Olivia . . . #officestuff #stickers #somethingforthekids
