An inmate who admitted to walking away from the White Spruce Training Centre in April, has been given more jail time.
On July 3, 35-year-old Delbert Nanaquetung pled guilty to being unlawfully at large and received 180 days in jail, while on July 25 in Wynyard Provincial Court, he admitted to driving while prohibited, and got a further 18 months behind bars and a three-year driving ban.
On April 26, Yorkton RCMP were notified that Nanaquetung had been last seen at the facility near Yorkton that night, and he was subsequently charged with one count of being unlawfully at large.
Police confirm he was arrested on the Fishing Lake First Nation on June 17.
