RCMP have charged a Regina man following a shooting on George Gordon First Nation on Tuesday.
Police say officers responded around 8:30 a.m. to a report of an injured woman outside a residence. An investigation determined she had been shot during an altercation with a man armed with a firearm. The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The suspect was located later that day in a nearby treed area and arrested after attempting to flee.
24 year old Xavier Worm of Regina , is charged with attempted murder and several firearm-related offences. He appeared in Regina Provincial Court yesterday (AUG 20) morning.
The RCMP Regina General Investigation Section continues to investigate.
