I’ve been living in Yorkton for a little over three years now, and honestly, one of the very first things I did when I settled in was sign up for my Co-op membership. It just felt like a rite of passage! Every year, I get my equity cheques and feel like a real part of the community.
But here’s my little confession: I have absolutely no idea what my actual Co-op number is.
Seriously! I always have my Co-op card in my wallet, and I just hand it over with a smile whenever I’m at the checkout. But if you asked me to recite my number off the top of my head? Not a chance. I’d probably just laugh and admit defeat.
I can’t be the only one, right? There must be others out there who, no matter how many times they use their number, just can’t seem to commit it to memory. It’s like my brain has decided there are more important things to remember, like where I put my keys or song lyrics for multiple TV show theme songs.
So, I’m putting this out there: does anyone else have this problem? Or is everyone else in the listening area a Co-op number savant? If you’re like me and rely on your trusty card every time, let me know in the comments.
@gx94radio Anyone else still haven’t memorized their Co-op number? I’ve lived here for 3 years and still can’t keep it in my brain. -Olivia . . . #coop co-op #coopnumbers #memoryfail #saskatchewan #countrylife #prairieliving #fyppppppppppppppppppppppp #Inverted
