A new development in the case of a Sioux Valley Dakota Nation woman, charged with second degree murder.
In Brandon Court of King’s Bench yesterday (Tue), 28-year-old Rennie Williams was found guilty of the lesser offence of manslaughter.
A pre-sentence report was ordered, and she will return to court on October 14 to set a sentencing date.
In December of 2022, Virden RCMP received a report of a stabbing at a home in Sioux Valley.
They found a 26-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
