A man wanted in connection with a deadly shooting at a home on the Waywayseecappo First Nation is now in custody.
On the evening of Aug. 31, the Manitoba First Nation Police Services were notified of a shooting in the community, and at the scene, they found a 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound, and he was taken to hospital in critical condition, but later died of his injuries.
Police say the victim and suspect knew each other, and believe the shooting was a targeted incident.
A warrant had been issued for 32-year-old Ferlin Bone, on a charge of second degree murder, and on Sept. 3, Mounties confirmed Bone turned himself in to Manitoba First Nations Police.
