Mounties say they first received a report of stolen metal gates from a rural property on Aug. 16. In the weeks that followed, multiple similar reports came in involving stolen gates and tools.
As part of the investigation, Esterhazy RCMP executed a search warrant at a home in Langenburg on Sept. 11. Officers seized 15 metal gates, several tools, and two unsecured firearms.
Three people were arrested at the residence.
Forty-five-year-old Michael Orth of Langenburg is facing seven charges, including possession of property obtained by crime, possessing break-in instruments, and firearm-related offences.
Thirty-year-old Andrew Huzina of Esterhazy is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possessing break-in instruments.
Thirty-seven-year-old Keira Howard of Langenburg is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
