A man charged with two counts of first degree murder, following an incident on the Pine Creek First Nation, has appeared in court again.
Winnipegosis RCMP were called to the scene in June of last year on a report of shots fired, where they found an injured 37-year-old man, who died at the scene.
The next morning, Mounties found the body of a 52-year-old woman in the same area.
About an hour later, a suspect allegedly fired shots at police, and tried to flee on an off-road vehicle, but was arrested.
20-year-old Oryan (o-RYAN) Flamand was in Dauphin Court of King’s Bench last week, where he was remanded in custody for his four-week trial, which starts next August.
