CANORA – On a warm, near-perfect late summer day, the Canora Minor Hockey Association hosted its Welcome Back Barbecue on Sept. 11.
“The sun was shining and we were feeling the heat as we cooked up 240 burgers for Canora area residents,” said CMHA President Stacy Vangen. “We would like to thank everyone who attended and supported our barbecue as we look forward to another season on the ice. Funds raised will go towards ensuring that we can keep programming affordable for all players and families.”
Vangen said the plan is for the first minor hockey games to hit the ice in Canora in late October.
Updates and the latest schedules can be found at the Town of Canora website and the latest announcements can be found at the Canora Minor Hockey Association Facebook page.
“We are looking forward to another great year of hockey and Canora and hope to see you all at the Civic Centre,” said Vangen.
