According to the Ag Transport Coalition, week 6 saw system performance improve slightly with CN and CPKC combined supplying 80% of hopper cars ordered, representing a slight improvement from the 78% order fulfillment performance seen in week 5.
This marks the third consecutive week that system performance has fallen below the 90% threshold.
In supplying 73% of cars ordered by shippers in week 6, CN saw performance improve slightly from the 65% order fulfillment performance in week 5.
This marks the second consecutive week that performance has been below 80%.
CPKC saw performance decline slightly, with the railway supplying 86% of shipper orders in week 6 as compared to the 90% order fulfillment performance seen in week 5.
This marks the first time in the last eighteen weeks that the railway has posted performance below 90%.
