YORKTON — Source Embroidery and Screenprinting recently showed support for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Yorkton and Area.
Mike Stackhouse presented a cheque for $2,000. In a post on Facebook, Stackhouse noted Big Brothers Big Sisters was great for him as a child many years ago and was also rewarding as a big brother. Now he says he’s pleased to be in a position to give back.
Big Brothers Big Sisters said in a Facebook post that all donations help to empower young people in communities through mentoring programs.
The contribution is more than a cheque, the agency said, it’s an investment in the power of members and the bright future of young people in the community.
“With this support, we can match more children with caring mentors who help build confidence, develop resilience and unlock the potential within.”
Every dollar raised brings the organization closer to ensuring no young person walks their journey alone.
“Thank you for making the investment of helping to change a young person’s life with mentoring,” Big Brothers Big Sisters said.
