*UPDATE*
RCMP say a male youth has been arrested without incident after a stolen vehicle was found abandoned near Rocanville on Wednesday morning.
Moosomin and Broadview RCMP received a report of a vehicle theft from the Rocanville area around 8:45 a.m. Officers later located the vehicle in a ditch near Highway 719 and rural road 1321.
Police say no charges have been laid at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
RCMP also note they do not believe there is any further risk to public safety.
Mounties are searching for a suspect after vehicle theft near Rocanville.
Moosomin/Broadview RCMP say the vehicle was reported stolen around 8:45 a.m on Wednesday morning, and later found in a ditch near Highway 719 and Rural Road 1321.
The suspect is described as an adult male, 5’6” to 5’8” tall, wearing a green jacket and blue jeans, and is believed to be on foot near Rocanville.
Authorities are urging residents not to approach the suspect and to report any sightings immediately. People are also advised to lock vehicles and homes.
Anyone with information should call 911 in an emergency or 310-RCMP for non-emergencies. RCMP will alert the public if an imminent risk to safety arises.
