REGINA – A former Yorkton man charged with manslaughter, in connection with the death of a one-year-old girl in Regina, has appeared in court again.
Twenty-four-year-old Bailey Peepeetch was originally arrested for aggravated assault on Oct. 7, 2020, but the charge was upgraded, when the girl died two days later.
Regina Police say the investigation began when they were called to a hospital for a report of a critically-injured child, and that the injuries were suspected to be the result of physical abuse.
Peepeetch had his case heard Wednesday in Regina Court of King’s Bench, where it was adjourned to Oct. 10.
