I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! Ours was full in the best way — time with family, some great hockey, and of course, a hearty Thanksgiving meal.
We had two games on the schedule this weekend for my son’s team — Saturday against Prairie Storm and then Sunday with Swift Current in town to take on our Sask East Oilers. It was a split weekend, with a tough game Saturday but a solid win on Sunday. As you probably know by now, watching my son play hockey is one of my absolute favourite places to be. There’s just something about being at the rink, watching the kids give it their all, that never gets old.
After Sunday’s game, we hosted Thanksgiving supper for my side of the family. It was so nice to have everyone together around the table, catching up, sharing laughs, and enjoying a great meal. These are the moments that really make the holiday special.
The weather, however, decided to remind us that winter is on its way — and fast. The snow came down hard, and driving conditions weren’t great. My sister and her family had to head back to Regina after dinner and said the roads were pretty rough until around Lorlie, then things cleared up.
All in all, it was a weekend full of everything I love — hockey, family, food, and a touch of wild Saskatchewan weather to keep us on our toes. Hope your weekend was just as full of the good stuff!
