For those of us on the prairies, we know the weather here is like a reality show: dramatic, unpredictable, and sometimes downright absurd. Forget boring forecasts—out here, Mother Nature keeps us guessing with plot twists worthy of an Oscar. One day you’re basking in the sun, grilling burgers in your backyard, and the next morning you’re scraping snow off your windshield and wondering if you dreamed those tan lines.

These were a few photos sent in to us before the Thanksgiving long weekend. Our farmers going strong in the field for Harvest 2025. Big shoutout to Joe from Ituna who regularly sends in his photos. You can’t beat a prairie sunrise or sunset!
If prairie weather teaches us anything, it’s to expect the unexpected. We’ve become masters of adaptability, always ready for sun, snow, or something in between. Our closets are packed with every possible option, our conversations peppered with weather wisdom, and our sense of humor sharpened by the ever-changing sky. Farmers know this more than anyone!
Hopefully you didn’t have to drive in the rain and snow this past weekend. But we’re used to this, right! Right? Right ….
