YORKTON — The storm that struck south-central Saskatchewan on Oct. 12 and 13 left an impact on SaskPower customers in Yorkton and surrounding communities, as nearly 3,500 customers were without electricity.
According to SaskPower, approximately 1,560 customers lost power in Yorkton and the neighbouring area due to a couple of outages. Another outage in Rhein, including rural areas to the east and west down to Highway 10, affected 199 customers.
The largest outage cut a large swath through Endeavour, Hinchcliffe, Lady Lake, Stenen, Sturgis, Tadmore, Usherville and surrounding rural areas, as it affected 1,700 customers.
