KAMSACK — In order to help encourage a viable business community at Kamsack, a tax incentive is available to new and upgraded buildings in the community.
For new buildings, or additions or improvements of existing buildings that will result in an increased assessment, owners are eligible to receive a 100 per cent abatement of the town’s property taxes for one year, and then 75 per cent the second year and 50 per cent the third year.
For buildings upgraded to a standard recognized by SAMA (Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency), the incentive is 75 per cent the first year, and 50 per cent the second.
In addition, the Town of Kamsack has recently created a new website with a business section. Any business that purchases a business license will automatically be placed on the website.
