A new court date has been set for a former Yorkton man charged with manslaughter, in connection with the death of a one-year-old girl in Regina.
24-year-old Bailey Peepeetch was originally arrested for aggravated assault in October of 2020, but the charge was upgraded, when the girl died two days later.
Peepeetch had his case heard Friday in Regina Court of King’s Bench, where it was adjourned to Dec. 19.
Regina Police say the investigation began when they were called to a hospital for a report of a critically-injured child, and that the injuries were suspected to be the result of physical abuse.
