There’s something special about seeing local talent make a big impact — and that’s exactly what Abernethy’s own Morgan Bray is doing in the world of hockey design.
The Prince Albert Raiders of the WHL are hosting their Cancer Awareness Night, and the team will be hitting the ice in specially designed jerseys created by none other than Morgan himself. The evening also marks the start of the jersey auction, giving fans the chance to own one of these meaningful, limited-edition designs — all in support of an important cause.
Morgan’s journey in sports design has deep roots in both his passion for hockey and his Saskatchewan upbringing. A small-town kid from Abernethy, Morgan has combined his love of the game with a creative eye, producing standout work recognized on some impressive stages.
His design career took off when his artwork was chosen for Team Canada goaltender Eric Comrie’s helmet during the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship, where Canada captured gold. Since then, Morgan has continued to leave his mark — from crafting the distinctive Balcarres Barracudas female hockey jerseys to now creating for the Prince Albert Raiders, marking his first design appearance in the WHL.
It’s an incredible milestone for someone who represents the heart of Saskatchewan — creativity, community, and a genuine love for the game.
So here’s a big congratulations and shoutout to Morgan Bray! Your hard work, talent, and hometown pride are inspiring to so many, and we can’t wait to see where your designs take you next.
