NORQUAY — Because of significant community contributions, a Norquay woman was presented with a high honour by the Insurance Brokers of Saskatchewan (IBAS).
Reagan Foster of the Norquay branch of Lakeview Insurance received the IBAS Community Leadership Award during the Leaders’ Summit held at the Sheraton Cavalier Hotel in Saskatoon on Oct. 17.
She accepted the award from a representative of Wawanesa Insurance, which provided a donation of $7,300 to the recipient. Lakeview Insurance added $2,700 for a total of $10,000, which will be donated to the Norquay School breakfast program that had been spearheaded by Foster.
The award is made annually to an individual or brokerage “that makes significant community contributions through volunteerism, philanthropy, or by advancing the broker profession,” according to the IBAS webpage.
Foster was presented with a framed certificate saying: “The 2025 Community Leadership Award is proudly presented, with distinction, to Reagan Foster, Lakeview Insurance Brokers, in recognition of her outstanding dedication to community service, volunteerism, civic engagement, and advancement of the insurance broker profession.” It is signed by Derek Lothian of the Insurance Brokers Association of Saskatchewan.

“Your leadership and heart for others inspire us all every single day,” the company said as it extended congratulations for the “well-deserved recognition.”
“There is nobody more deserving of this award,” said Jennifer Lindgren of Norquay. “Reagan is one of the most selfless individuals you’ll ever meet.”
Since moving to Norquay, her impact on the community has been huge, Lindgren said. She plays a vital role in every organization here and board she’s been on.
She is one of those rare gems that come into people’s lives, said Audrey Severson, principal of Norquay School. She can always be counted on. She does amazing things for students and the community.
“She doesn’t just build the need, she comes with the ideas too,” said Stacy Rubletz, vice-principal of Norquay School.
Reagan deserves the honour more than anyone, said Nicole Korpusik of Norquay. “It would be a shorter list if I just said the things she didn’t do in our community.”
Foster is credited for having breathed new life into the Norquay Kin Club and was said to have been instrumental in raising “hundreds of thousands” of dollars for Telemiracle. Her leadership in the Lakeview office and in the community is said to be “valued and appreciated.”
Working in the insurance business in Norquay for 16 years, Foster is credited with having done extensive work in the community. She spearheaded the school breakfast program and has worked on the Helping Hands program, which began as a Christmas hamper program and was expanded to now expanded to provide monthly food hampers to families in need.
