What a night. What a game. What a heartbreaker.
Last night’s 18-inning marathon between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 3 of the World Series will go down as one of those unforgettable — and exhausting — classics. For fans across Canada, it was a rollercoaster of emotions that stretched deep into the night.
I’ll be honest — I tried to go to bed. Really, I did. But there’s something about playoff baseball that won’t let you turn away, especially when your team is hanging on pitch by pitch, inning after inning. Before I knew it, the clock had struck 12:50 a.m. here in Saskatchewan, and the game had finally ended — not in our favour. An 18-inning heartbreaker that left Blue Jays fans everywhere stunned, proud, and completely sleep-deprived.
When my alarm went off just before 4 a.m., it felt like I’d barely blinked. I’m sure I’m not the only one dragging today — productivity levels across Canada are likely taking a bit of a dip. But that’s the price we pay for postseason baseball.
The good news? There’s another game tonight. Here’s hoping the Blue Jays shake off the sting of last night’s loss and come out swinging.
Coffee in hand, faith intact — let’s go, Jays.
@gx94radio Blue Jays fans today. I had 2 hours of sleep. -Danny #bluejays #18innings #worldseries #fyp #sotired
