The Christmas spirit will be flowing, when the CPKC Holiday Train makes a stop in Yorkton next month.
The City of Yorkton has announced that the holiday tradition will be returning on Sat., Dec. 6, from 12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m..
Every year, the brightly-lit Holiday Train makes its way across North America, raising awareness and donations for local food banks and charities, and as part of the fun, the train stage will feature free live music, courtesy of Canadian country artists Jade Eagleson and Teigen Gayse.
In conjunction with the Holiday Train, the Yorkton Christmas Market will be held at the Godfrey Dean Art Gallery, from 3 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 5, and from 1 to 6 p.m. on Dec. 6, giving the public a chance to shop at local vendors, and giving families a chance to enjoy fun activities and holiday treats.
