It’s Grey Cup week, and my Saskatchewan Roughriders are in it! What an exciting time for Rider Nation. It’s been a few years since we’ve had the chance to watch our team battle it out for the championship, and this week the energy across the province is electric. Everywhere you go, people are wearing green and white, talking football, and hoping this is the year we bring the Cup back home.
I’ve always loved this time of year — the mix of Grey Cup excitement and the start of the Christmas season. We decorated the house and put up the Christmas tree, which of course includes our Saskatchewan Roughriders ornaments. Every year when we hang them, it’s a reminder of all the great memories we’ve had cheering on this team.
This year, though, I’m hoping to add a new ornament — one that says Grey Cup Champions! Wouldn’t that look perfect hanging next to the lights and other Rider gear?
Let’s go Riders! Bring that Cup home!
