WEYBURN — A man accused in the shooting death of a woman on a rural Saskatchewan highway is having his court case moved from Regina to Weyburn.
Chris Fahlman has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Tanya Myers.
The 44-year-old woman was killed in September by gunshot while sitting in the passenger seat of an SUV driving on Highway 39 near Weyburn, southeast of Regina.
Fahlman was previously charged with manslaughter, but the charge was upgraded earlier this week.
In his new charges, he’s also been accused of intentionally shooting a firearm while being reckless as to the life or safety of another person.
Fahlman’s next court date is set for Dec. 9.
