Is it just me, or is it getting harder every year to tell someone what you want for Christmas? Tonya has been asking me all week what I’m asking Santa for, and I just stare back at her like a deer in headlights. I honestly can’t come up with a single thing. I guess when you need something as an adult, you just… buy it. Not exactly helpful for the people trying to shop for you.
Now I fully understand what everyone else feels when they try to buy for me. It’s the same frustration I get when I’m trying to figure out gifts for other adult family members. Kids are easy—get them something shiny, noisy, or with buttons. Adults? Not so much. We’re the hardest to buy for because most of us don’t need anything, and the things we might want, we don’t think of until February.
So here we are, the annual Christmas gift guessing game. Maybe the real gift is just spending time together… or maybe I should just start keeping a running list throughout the year. Either way, good luck to everyone out there trying to shop for the adults in your life!
