SASKATCHEWAN — Average retail gasoline prices in Saskatchewan have risen 3.2 c/L in the past week, averaging 129.30 c/L Sunday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of gas outlets.
This compares with the national average that has fallen 1.4 c/L in the last week to 133.71 c/L, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com. The national average has increased 1.9 c/L during the last month and stands 16.2 c/L lower than this day one year ago.
“Canada’s national average price of gasoline was little changed over the last week, with provinces nearly split between those seeing increases and those seeing declines,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. “The biggest jumps came from British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Newfoundland, while Alberta saw a substantial decline. As seasonal demand continues to ease and oil prices remain relatively steady near $60 per barrel, we could see additional relief at the pumps – especially with refinery maintenance season now wrapping up.”
